1. Purpose and scope
Fintalent Limited (“Fintalent” “we,” “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of Users of the Fintalent Website (“the Site”) and the services, features, and information available through the Site (collectively, the “Services”).
We strictly abide by privacy laws, regulations and best international privacy standards to provide you with safer and more reliable services.
2. Collection of personal information
When you access the Site, the Services or apply to become our Talent or Client, we may collect different types of information about you. This information is described in more detail below:
2.1. Collection of personal information
Fintalent may ask you to provide the following information to enable you access the Site, the Services or to be admitted into the Fintalent network, either as a Client or Talent:
b) Contact information including Email, WhatsApp, Skype contact details
c) Identification documents
d) Professional qualifications and background
e) Employment status
f) LinkedIn profile URL
g) Curriculum vitae or Resume
h) Skill sets, language, tech and tool skills
i) Talent hourly rates, availability, interest in projects, invitations sent to contacts
j) Billing and personal address
k) Tax information
l) Date of birth
m) Payment and billing details including bank account and payment provider details
n) Professional photos (where applicable)
We may also collect personal information provided to us in certain circumstances including when you contact us; when you respond to our request for information, electronically or otherwise; and when you submit your personal information to us for any reason. In addition, we may record video and phone calls for quality assurance and training purposes.
2.2. Automatically collected Information
When you access the Fintalent Site and Services or Fintalent Account, we automatically record and store certain information by using cookies and other types of technology such as Google Analytics, HubSpot and Hotjar. Examples of information that we might collect are LinkedIn profile details; Internet Protocol addresses, your geographic location; date and time of your visit; device and browser types and identifiers, referring and exit page addresses and software and system types.
3. Information from Third Party Sources
Fintalent may supplement the information collected from you with additional information about you from other sources including publicly available and third-party databases or services that provide information such as LinkedIn, corporate websites and job board websites.
In addition, we may conduct necessary background checks to verify the professional background, criminal convictions, among other facts. If applicable to you, your consent to the collection of such additional data will be solicited at such time, pursuant to applicable laws.
Although cookies do not disclose your identity, you may disable cookies them at any time. Doing so will, however, affect our ability to track your preferences and as such, you may have to manually adjust your preferences every time you visit the Site.
Use of personal information
We use the personal information we collect about you or that you provide to us to:
a) To personalize and optimize your experience as part of our provision of the Services;
b) To perform screening process, which evaluates prospective Talent’s language skills, personality, domain-specific knowledge, technical skills, competence and professionalism before matching professional Talent with Clients;
c) To provide and maintain our Service;
d) To notify you about changes to our Service;
e) To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so;
f) To provide customer support;
g) To communicate with you from time to time;
h) To provide support and assistance in relation to the Services;
i) To diagnose or fix technology problems in relation to the Site; and
j) To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service.
Subject to any restrictions under applicable laws, we may send periodic promotional or informational emails to you. You may opt-out of such communications by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email. Alternatively, you could send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that it may take up to ten (10) business days for us to process opt-out requests.
6. Sharing of information
Fintalent does not share your personal information with third parties except when you agree to be bound by our Talent or Client Terms and Conditions, in which case your information with sharing of your personal information in relation may be shared in connection with provision of the Services.
We may also share your information with our trusted third party service providers who may process personal information on our behalf. Such third party service providers include those engaged to host our data (including your personal information), websites and Services; providing payment processing services; or performing other administrative services for us. Although we have been carefully vetted these third parties, we shall not be responsible or liable for any of their acts or omissions. Additionally, Fintalent may share your personal information pursuant to any governmental, court and law enforcement requests under any law or regulation.
Both the Site and the Services are not intended for persons who have not attained the age of majority. Accordingly, Fintalent does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
In case we learn that we have collected personal information relating to a child, we shall immediately delete such information from our databases.
8. Retention and storage of personal information
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to help keep the personal information collected through the Site secure.
We shall retain personal data collected for a reasonable time frame, which will vary depending on the nature of the data and whether the data may be needed for future legitimate use. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy such Personal Information.
9. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, California law provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about the collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months and the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. 10. Your European Union Privacy Rights
Residents in the European Union are entitled to certain additional rights with respect to personal information that we hold about them. These rights include:

e) the right to object to processing;
f) the right to data portability; and
