Sergi Martínez Peiro

Mr. Martínez Peiro has worked in Investment Banking in London as Associate in the M&A team at Credit Suisse, having participated in projects in the Consumer sector, mainly, across Europe. Prior to Investment Banking, he has had 8+ years experience divided in 3 different pillars: founder of a startup, Business Developer and PE/VC. He created a digital e-commerce platform in the fashion space that was aimed to modernise the tailoring process by allowing users to get custom tailormade suits and shirts at home with few clicks. For this project, Mr Martínez Peiro was selected to meet with Spanish PM Mariano Rajoy in 2014, award based on entrepreneurial merit. There, he negotiated early financing rounds with investors in the Venture Capital space in Spain. Mr. Martínez Peiro has also worked in Sales and Marketing Departments in two Industrial multinational companies, helping the business grow the different divisions and providing the right support to Country Managers distributed within various geographies to facilitate post-merger integration. In parallel, he has also published a book called ‘El diario de mi amigo intolerante’ where he explains how to increase people’s quality of life and improve planet’s sustainability by eating healthy food consciously. Mr. Martínez Peiro is a graduate in Industrial Engineering from UPC Barcelona and holds an MBA from IESE Business School, ranked Top 10 Business School worldwide, where he co-founded the First Search Fund Club in 2018 and was Director of Private Equity and Venture Capital Clubs, providing students with the right information, tools and training. He also did an internship with a Private Equity firm in Madrid (Poniente Capital) and collaborates with Liceo Capital Advisors on a project basis (business plan creation and series A fundraising).
